IN A competition that always creates a buzz, a Chinese beekeeper has worn more than 26kg of bees on his body.
Two bee keepers – Lu Kongjiang and Wang Dalin – went head-to-head in China’s Hunan province to determine who could attract the most bees.
Mr Wang, wearing only shorts and goggles and using a queen bee to attract other insects, tipped the scales, luring 26kg worth of bees in an hour.
Mr Lu managed to attract a swarm of just under 23kg.
But they came nowhere near the bee-bearding record.
That is held by American Mark Biancaniello, who attracted 39.5kg of bees on to his body in 1998.
